    Prenatal Pilates

Practicing Pilates during pregnancy has been shown to reduce low back pain and contribute to an easier birth, as well as an easier recovery postpartum. Prenatal Pilates focuses on maintaining core strength in a safe and effective way and working to improve postural changes that are common during pregnancy. In my prenatal Pilates sessions, I show clients how to modify exercises throughout each trimester so you can go to exercise classes or move at home with confidence.

    Postpartum Pilates

Pilates is a wonderful way to safely reintroduce exercise after giving birth and to regain core strength. Pilates helps to improve posture and develop full-body strength, which aids the pelvic floor in healing after pregnancy and birth. I help clients with common postpartum conditions like pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti, and incontinence, as well as those simply looking to reconnect with their abdominals and feel ready to return to their regular fitness routine.

    Pilates Rehab

Whether you’re rehabbing an injury or dealing with chronic back pain, Pilates can help you build a solid foundation by focusing on core strength, alignment, and breathwork. Strengthening your deep core muscles and working on compensatory patterns and muscle imbalances can help you recover more quickly and get back to doing what you love.

FAQs

  • 50 minutes

  • While having the space to focus completely on you during your Pilates session is ideal, we know that childcare can be challenging. You are more than welcome to bring your baby until they start to crawl; once they’re mobile, Pilates equipment can be hazardous to little ones. When your child is old enough to safely entertain themselves with a book or tablet, they may come to your sessions again.

  • Comfortable, form-fitting workout clothes; this allows us to observe your alignment, breathing, and muscle engagement. Grippy socks are required, and we can provide you with a pair if you forget yours.

  • We offer private Pilates and personal training sessions as well as two-person and three-person circuit training sessions. For Pilates group classes, we recommend Uncommon Practice in NW Denver or Spring House in Arvada. For strength training group classes, we recommend Unite Fitness in Golden.
